CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Our purpose of education is to improve knowledge and skills, and to develop individual personality and enhance relationships at every step. To give exposure to students beyond the confines of classrooms, various co-curricular activities are conducted, which act like a catalyst and develop their talents and interests. We strive to cultivate this life long appreciation, enjoyment, respect and love for art where students are engaged in a variety of co-operative activities, designed to channel thoughts and emotions in a productive manner. The focus is an active participation and creative expression.

SPORTS

 
           Our major goal is to create adults who feel good about themselves. We believe that participation in school sports activity and athletic programmes provides students an opportunity to learn the principles of leadership, responsibility, teamwork, commitment, sportsmanship, discipline, goal setting and other valuable life skills.
The physical education programmes is designed to encourage maximum participation during class time, to provide the means for improving a student's fitness and to develop motor, social and personal skills. The emphasis of the programme is not winning at any cost but rather on the personal growth of the student, through the discipline learnt from preparation and competition in sports. The school provides a wide range of sports activity that can fit many students interest.

ADVENTUROUS OUTINGS

    "Knowledge may be gained from books but the love of knowledge is transmitted by personal contact", which is made possible in form of varied outings conducted at regular intervals. Our education is not confined to the four walls of the school, but it has broadened its horizons through picnics and excursions. To break the monotony of our students, school invariably takes them for tours of educational and historical interest. It also arranges trips and picnics where students can get a taste of adventure and learning becomes more enjoyable for them.

HARMONY

   Our school continuously involves the students in celebrating various kinds of festivals, thereby representing unity in diversity in our culture. To teach them "Religions are many and diverse but reason and goodness are one" is the sole objective. A sense of patriotic fervour is also flavoured among the students by celebrating national festivals.

    Vidhyashram provides experiences and exposures which bring out the best in our children. The environmental protection and preservation is the prime responsibility of school. We endeavour to make our students, appreciate the need to keep one's environment clean and green. We address global problem like pollution and deforestation etc. by celebrating World Environment Day, Pollution Day etc. They are encouraged to become eco-friendly, by involving them in activities like planting trees, and by having a tree watch group to ensure that they are well tended and cared. Man and nature live in harmony is ensured here.

Keeping in mind the old saying about health "A sound mind dwells in a sound body" the students are trained in yoga and aerobics to help cultivate a sense of equilibrium and self control. The art of living courses are also conducted regularly.



Today when the mind is free and the soul is starved, there is a dire need of value education in schools. To make it meaningful and effective we instill it by Integrated Value in Education, through "teaching learning methods, and co-curricular activities.
